Jason and I have been in Missouri for two months exactly today. We are planning on doing a little driving and visiting some really good friends and of course family!
The gist of it:
We are going to spend the day in St.Louis with Jesse and Cynthia Frame- we'll get to meet their newest addition Clara! So excited- It's been probably 4 years since we've seen the frames! We are very excited.
We will stay with Jason's sister Julie that night in St Louis and then head out the next day for Bloomington! Most of Jason's family lives there. We will spend time with his cousins Bethany, Christopher and Hannah! We will be celebrating Hannah's birthday while we are there... so that should be a ton of FUN! We will spend several days there with family, and from their head to Northern Indiana to visit with Mike and Megan Brown- and meet their new little one Elliot! (seems like a theme... it continues)
From their we are going to Cincinnati to visit Ryan and Ashley Maxwell- who just informed us they are expecting their first! So happy for them!
From their on to Louisville to visit Nathan and Heather. (no baby news their...yet)
Then the longest part of our trip we are going to Florida! To the panhandle near Pensacola to visit Faith and Eric... and their baby Henry (too cute! The theme ends here- no news of our own to announce - still hopeful and still trying!) We will spend a few days taking in sights of Florida with the Ducommon family and then we will spend one day in New Orleans! Super excited!
All of these places we are visiting I have never been to (except stl and il) I've never even been to Indiana, Ohio, Florida, or Louisiana! I'm really looking forward to this trip!
So... look forward to some fun pics and updates - we are truly blessed to have this opportunity with few responsibilities and thankful that we get to share this together!

Living with the In-Laws
So it has been a couple of weeks now since we moved from AZ. It seems like it has not been that long and that it has be long at the same time. Part of me feels like we have been on vacation (since this is usually where we use our vacations time) and that everything is as it was. About a week ago I realized that this would have been a longer vacation then I would have been allowed to take. Logically I felt like it was time to head back to AZ and get back to work, but this is not what will happen. The other part of me has lots of different emotions running around. I would try to explain them but I do not think that my skills in typing would be able to convey what I what it to say.
It actually has been a pretty great couple of weeks. Don’t get me wrong I feel that it is hard living with Melissa’s parents. I am glad that it is not an extreme like in “Meet the Parents” (one of my favorite movies). There are some funny things like walking around the house in the dark and trying not to run into things. Answering the phone by saying Blanchard residence, actually that is fun because I can act like the estate butler.
I also wanted to give you an update on how we are doing. I have been doing some work outside, and Melissa has been doing work work in the house. We have both applied to be substitute teachers at the schools. I am pretty excited about this because I will be able to do what I love most which is hanging out with kids. I am also looking for some temporary work at the temp office. It is not the most luxurious positions but it will pay the bills. I am also still looking for a ministry position. I have some promising leads and some conversations coming up at the end of the week in which I am looking forward to.
If you would continue to pray for us that God will direct us and lead us to where He wants us to be. We know that with God anything is possible.

Settled but not complacent
Jason and I arrived in Lamar late Friday night, after following the church vans from Colorado (youth quake)
We are unpacked (our suitcases) and unwinding a bit from the stress of driving and packing and moving across the country.
we've gotten some good quality time in with our godson Gatlin. He's such a chunk- and just too cute! That's him and his mama Brittany.
Jason is looking for something random- just for a little income- we still have bills back in Arizona. Preferably something with insurance. He is continuing to search for our next ministry- and trying to be patient as we wait on the Lord's timing in all this.
We would greatly appreciate your prayers as we try to remain in God's perfect will. Waiting on HIS timing!
Pray for Jason to stay busy in this time of waiting- that I will be encouraging and supportive, and that we will learn and grow during this season. Thanks

Its been a while
We have had lots going on. Jason and I had our last day at Central Last Sunday June 28th. We have decided to move in with my folks until our next ministry opportunity comes around.
Jason and I are prayerfully considering our next steps.
Our whole house is packed up- and God took extra care and attention in helping us get all of our stuff to Missouri. My parents came down and took a trailer load, and we found a guy on craigslist - he was taking an empty trailer to Michigan, and for less than gas- we had him take another trailer full to our storage unit in Lamar.
We are having a little going away shin dig Friday evening at the Moores house. Jason realized that the very first party we attended in Mesa, was at this house- a student team party. So it is quite fitting that our first and last parties are here. ;)
We find our about our loan modification on Monday the 13th, and will be heading to Missouri sometime that week. No specific date in mind.
We would really appreciate your prayers- in seeking our next long term ministry, in finding the right solution for our house- renters or a short sale... and in making this time of transition as seamless and peaceful as possible.
We love you and thank you for our prayers.

March
So March has come and gone and so has spring training for Baseball. I think that Baseball is one of the greatest sports ever made. There are so many dynamics to the sport. I know that some may say that it is boring and slow, but that is because you do not know what you are watching.
Since I live in Mesa, AZ I was able to go to a few baseball games with my favorite team, the Cubs. I wish that I was able to go to a few more but Spring Training Season goes by so fast. With the Cubs playing half of their games at their home field the opportunities start to dwindle fast. I usually am only able to go to games on Fridays but this year I took some of the sixth grade students along to a game.
I love that I get to do ministry with kids especially when we are watching the Cubbies play. The kids were not real fans of the Cubs but they cheered them on at the game anyway. That was until the ninth inning came around and the Giants had the bases loaded and down by two. This is when the kids turned on me. they started chanting Go Giants. I could not believe my ears. Then like out of a responce to there chants you hear the crack of the bat and the crowd getting lowder. Yes, It was a grandslam. What is happening. I think that I would have totally blocked the memory from my mind but the ball headed right for us and basically landing right in one of the students hands. I was pretty happy for him none the less. He caught a grandslam ball. Not everyone gets to say that.
Melissa and I went to a couple of other games and had a great time. I love the feel and the atmosphere of being at the game. Now all I have for the rest of the season is a three game series against the D-Backs. They play one series in AZ and another in Chicago. The only other way I see the Cubs play in person is if they make it to the post season and so do the D-backs.
As a Cubs fan I will have to say that this is the year, so yes we will be in the post season, but as for the D-Backs I am not sure if I can say they will make it. You did hear me right, yes, this is the year for the Cubs. I have been saying that 09 will be the year the Cubs win it all since I was a sophomore in High School. I have been waiting for this moment. I think that the third time in a row of heading to the post season will be the charms for the Cubs to break the "Curse".
